First Year Cross-Disciplinary Colloquia |
|
Interdisciplinary programming at the Johnston Center has the explicit goal of facilitating collaboration among faculty to enlarge and enliven intellectual life for undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences. We seek opportunities to bring faculty from all departments together to:
- Make connections across the curriculum and respond to the goals of the Academic Plan
- Create collaborations across the disciplines
- Focus on common content viewed through the multiple lenses provided by a range of disciplinary perspectives
- Pursue activities that will enlarge or enhance classroom work
- Advance innovative teaching
- Create programs that will serve as “capstone” experiences for clustered classes
- Facilitate experiential or hands-on learning
- Encourage the use of new technologies
- Embed out-of-the classroom experiences within the curriculum
We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with faculty on such programming and encourage you to contact the Center’s Executive Director for more information.
